Interactive Learning of grounded concepts
This demonstration shows how an autonomous embodied agent can learn grounded concepts and words through task-based communicative interactions. The emergent concepts and words are fully transparent, generalize well, easily adapt to changes in the world, and can be learned in an incremental way.
Paul Van Eecke obtained a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence from the KU Leuven in 2013. From 2014 until 2017, he worked as an assistant researcher at Sony Computer Science Laboratories in Paris. In 2018, he obtained a PhD in computer science from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, where he currently works as a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer.
